REVIEW Here's The Saturns EP (2007)

Not to astronomically exaggerate the point, but if Sydney garage rockers, The Saturns, further refine and improve on the impressive efforts of their debut EP, Here’s The Saturns, then they could well blast through the stratosphere of Rock’n’Roll stardom, and on into the galaxy of international acclaim. With a clear nod to Aussie rock luminaries, You Am I and Custard, as well as references to 60s ‘British Rock Invasion’ acts such as The Kinks and touches of psychedelic synths, this young five-piece strike the listeners imagination with disdainful opening track Decade, and arresting lead single, I Could Be The One. Not one of these five tracks is a weak link though, including fuzzed up two-step rocker Maybe James, and the dirty bounce of Psychomatic Car.
